Mark R. West, General Manager of Atlantic Environmental Construction Co., is responsible for client development, and commercial sales, as well as estimating responsibilities.

Mr. West entered the abatement industry as an asbestos worker with S. G. Brown, Inc. in 1984 where Mr. William Greene was a partner in the firm. In 1988, he was licensed as an asbestos abatement supervisor having moved through the ranks from laborer to foreman. He rapidly advanced from foreman to general foreman to project manager.

In 1990, Mr. West became a partner and Vice President of the abatement, remediation and demolition firm, Brown and Associates, Inc. During the next fifteen (15) years, Mr. West was responsible for all aspects of the business from estimating and contract management to site supervision.

In August of 2004, Mr. West left Brown and Associates, Inc. and formed the abatement firm of MW Contracting, Inc. focusing on asbestos and lead-based paint abatement as well as indoor air quality issues.  Although quite successful in his endeavors, AEC was able to persuade Mark to join forces with our company and in May of 2006, after much negotiation, AEC acquired all equipment and personnel of MW Contracting, Inc.

Mr. West is currently licensed as an asbestos supervisor, asbestos inspector, and lead supervisor. Additionally, he has completed training and holds licensing in indoor air quality.
